I have vended at NYCC for the last few years and my experience is that every day when it gets busy the service will drop for a few hours (at least). There are zones that are ok but some that you won’t have service at all. I paid for the WiFi this year.

Unless one has the means that allow for certain possibilities, very often, the urgency of making a living robs the artist of the time required to make masterworks.
