I just got my copy of The Summer Hikaru Died, and heck, the opening scene is so strong! It's a punch in the gut of emotions an just blasts you straight into the story in medias res. It's got me so fired up creatively.

My least and most favorite trope in is when the story starts the mc's lover is already dead. The angst is so delightfully painful.
