When I was hired at my uni the state paid 80% of our budget and tuition provided other 20%. 33 years later the percentages are reversed and tuition has gone from 1500$ per year to 15,000$. We could stop overpaying administrators but the state/the people own this. We’re still, btw, a bargain.
