lmao not Titian getting flagged for adult content
herring in front of albert heijn from fish stand so it’s got a little netherlands flag on it and pickles and onions
me in front of banksy’s Flower Thrower print at at at Moco
me in front of Rijk’s museum against the blue sky with white clouds. the architecture of the museum was neogothic and renaissance inspired cuz it was built in 1880s and that style was popular
me in front of Titian’s Danae and the golden shower in which zeus turns into a shower of gold to seduce Danae
i spent two days at Rijk’s museum i have so much to say about the stuff i saw and the curation i wish i had time for putting it down. Moco was worth a quick walk through too i spent 2 hours there and it was a mixed bag. i did wish i had more herring, i there was too much to do and too little time
now extremely upsetti i didn’t make this joke when i was informed, begrudgingly applauding
i had to distinguish myself ok so ppl don’t think i was american when i lived in europe a decade ago it got me significant better treatment
hello nice to meet u i am married to eric and i do this to them daily
if canada wants more canadian technology companies to happen it certainly isn't going to happen like this.
i was thinking about it the other day and it made me very sad to admit:
canadian tech workers are paid less than US workers by US employers
canadian data governance is on par with US (which isn't great)
canadian labour laws (usually by province) is more US than EU
we are a big cheap talent pool
remember that post some guy was like US has all of these models and china has all of these other models what does europe have
europe has labour laws and data governance my friend
canada could be like that. let’s make the right choice
the issue with canada and AI is similar to Europe. we are not the ones to train frontier models and innovate on practices, but we can be the ones to put in better data governance and regulations. i’m worried our PM is all in on adoption and innovation rather than governance and compliance.

great idea i should do same
I emailed a copy of the People's Consultation on AI to my MP and asked for a meeting to discuss further - definitely worth keeping up the pressure on the PM as well as the local rep!
yea but which part of the AI industry
www.manning.com/books/llms-i... can somebody tell our PM to read this book before he makes more decisions on AI? please? he’s got like a doctorate in economics right he would have no problems understanding how LLMs work
me in front of a vermeer painting the Love Letter and i’m wearing a mask and glasses and it’s a poorly shot selfie and i was very excited etc
i have so many good photos from my trip i went to six museums and i have had a netherlandish art history special interest since i was like 15 so being back at amsterdam was like aaaaa but all i can muster up the energy to post is this one which i feel like says enough about how i feel
who is advising our PM on AI
see i knew u were west coast
lol i didn’t know u live on long island i thought u were west coast
u to the world: do u ppl see what i have to put up with
i don’t like potatoes
hash browns aren’t yummy
i also think it’s important for ppl to acknowledge that many things/ppl look good in aesthetics and aren’t necessarily good in virtue like we all equate good looks with goodness and that’s a faux assumption and it applies to cybertrucks and it applies to more than cybertrucks
As a trans engineer who left the space industry in order to feel safe enough to transition: oof.
i’m usually right most of the time i am allowed one poor take and this is my poor take cybertrucks look good even tho they are bad
getting disowned by family because i think cybertrucks look cool in a PS1 kind of way
I quite dislike the feeling that all the work we have done across the social and behavioral sciences to show that psych affordances and environments not only matter, but directly shape how people deploy their cognitive resources...is being thrown out as we slide back to locked-in-the-skull theories
