"Former Conservatives MPs now crossing the floor to join the Liberals."

Lilley continuing to be the least subtle mouthpiece for the Ford government.
He must be listening to Sandy & Nora.
Just checked Scheers Wikipedia page.. he started his BA in 98 and graduated in 2008.
So.. both him and Poilievre took a decade to finish a 4 year degree, and they're both criticizing Carney as poorly educated.
As a New Democrat, few things frustrate me more than when I have to defend a Liberal.
Don't be embarrassed, big fella, we all make mistakes.
And yet you said they got smoked in the general.
Also, by-elections always have low turnout, particuarly from parties who arent competitive.
Diagnosing low turnout in a by-election in two Liberal strongholds as a sign of anything is just cope on your part.
But you do you bud.
Losing by less than 2% is getting smoked?
By-elections in 2 safe Liberal seats and 1 that the Bloc has held for 30 years.
And my point was that the person I'm responding to said Canadians didn't vote for Poilievre when the Liberals only won by less than 2% of the votes.
You Liberals live in a weird fantasy of your own making.
No disrespect, but you'd do well to use less emojis and hashtags.
In the election, it was 43.76% Liberals, 41.31% Conservatives.
I dont like Poilievre either, but to imply he didn't do well is ridiculous. He got a higher vote share than Harper or Trudeau ever did.
But nobody won a majority in the last election.
I based my vote in 2015 largely on that promise, and I'm still waiting.
You're framing the craven self-interest of certain MPs and the craven self-interest of the Liberal party as some celebration of democracy.
I'm not saying we should ban floor crossing. But don't act like this is some altruistic and noble act.
I got a great comms line for Poilievre. He took something like 8 years to finish his undergrad, so he technically spent about as much time in post secondary as Carney did!
So this is the new line of attack? Because Scheer apparently just posted this?
So we're celebrating how we elected individuals to be MPs, and then at the same time saying its completely fine that we have some of the worst, if not the worst, whipped votes of any Westminster system?
I dont think you can so eagerly dismiss that saying "just leave the party!".
A nutter that was democratically elected by her constituents.
Its times like these that I really wish we could take a peek at the alternate universe where Poilievre gets a majority through floor crossers so we could watch as Steve MacKinnon has a self righteousness meltdown on CBC and all the "elbows up" folks on Bluesky would be scratching their eyes out.
If we vote for a person why did carney have to reassure everyone that Gladu would vote with the Liberals no matter what?
Is "MP independence" when Carney makes it abundantly clear that Gladu will vote party line with the Liberals?
How is someone elected as an opposition MP, it was is a safe riding for the party they ran under, being forced into whipped votes for another party, democratic?
The last part of this comment is true poetry.
Carney Announces "Big Tent" Cabinet Shuffle
Started rewatching it recently and my God does it ever hold up. The dream sequences, the completely over the top plotlines and characters (RIP Ted).
I long for the days that shows werent trying to all be hyper realistic Nolan-Batman-esque dramatic endeavours.
Give me utterly unrealistic silliness.
Got it lined up to listen to after today's Sandy and Nora!
Sounds like instructions a doctor gives to clean up after birth.
*communism intensifies*
Hah! Well.. youre slightly faster than me because I learned this reading your comment.
But, Im also a life long Beatles fan and didnt realize until my mid 20s why they spelled it with an A.
Do we wait for the walk back?
MacKinnon is like a Liberal version of Scheer. Theres just this creepy smugness they both exhibit, and the perpetual smirks when being interviewed make me irrationally annoyed.
78% support? Hmmm.. far too risky and not pragmatic.
Hows about we cut cap gains taxes again instead?
Yes... hence.. Nenshi is a Liberal.
