War is not good for the climate, which is why I struggle with the war rhetoric directed against Russia by so many in the 'green' movement. There seems to be little sense of an anti-war sentiment amongst them, instead I see a willing embrace of state war propaganda.

Climate change progressives - they spend half their time lamenting the destruction of the world via climate change, the other half agitating for the destruction of the world via WWIII with Russia. Go figure, cos I can't make sense of it.
Does freeing ourselves of dependence on fossil fuels make it easier for us to bomb the middle east, because they won't have that stranglehold over the west? Or do heat pumps also bring about a geopolitical change and an end to western imperialism?
My feed on X is full of searing criticism of western imperialism and liberal hypocrisy. What's not to like ? I don't find that on any other social media site.

Maybe it was something of a house of cards to disappear so quickly. I fear returning to the misguided assumptions and anaemic goals of previous climate campaigns. We need to be braver, more radical - populate the campaign with people who have less to lose from overturning this political system.
