We’re calling on the next Scottish Government to close the deadly cancer gap. Less survivable cancers account for 1 in 4 diagnoses in Scotland, but average 5-year survival is just 16%. It’s time to improve outcomes, address research gaps and prioritise early diagnosis for LSCs.

Government to end cancer postcode lottery for patients People living in rural and coastal areas will find it easier to see a cancer specialist as the government works to end the postcode lottery for care.

We're delighted to see the early diagnosis of lung and oesophageal cancers prioritised as part of the forthcoming National Cancer Plan.

Late diagnosis is a big factor in making these cancers 'less survivable', so it's extremely positive to see this as a focus.

The cancer plan must address the stark disparity in funding We have a long way to go to close the research gap facing less survivable cancers.

Β£130 less per cancer death. That's the shocking research funding gap for less survivable cancers like lung, liver & pancreas.

As a former NHS nurse, I see the human cost. Our Cancer Plan must close it!
