was reminded of the card game War. it's sort of maddening in that there are no actual choices, just a random start and the whole game plays itself mechanically. the only way to get an advantage is to have a little or not-so-little something special about you under your clothes. not fair at all

I just sent my editor words and images to help guide her in selecting a book cover designer, and give that other human being with talents I can barely fathom ideas to guide their work. Why on earth someone would want to feed prompts to a plagiarism machine instead, I cannot understand.

Which has me wondering if part of the reason that Bard moved Simon's Rock from Great Barrington to a parcel of land near the main campus was to no longer have it subject to Massachusetts state oversight.

If all U.S. states had as stringent financial oversight of higher education as Massachusetts, a lot more colleges would be going out of business.
