Drawing interrupted by a news alert Panel 3: "So much horror and pain all around us... And it feels like it's getting worse every day." Cait staring at her tablet while news alerts ping loudly

Panel 1: "What the hell am I doing." Cait takes off her glasses and rubs her eyes, the news alerts are louder and more frightening Panel 2: "I'm drawing pretty pictures while the world is on fire. While families are torn apart. While war and genocide become daily news. While my country is held hostage by bigots who want me and the people I love to die." Cait holds her head in her hands, overwhelmed by pinging alerts

Panel 1: "But I can't think that way. ...not every day, at least..." Cait balls her fists, grimacing with tears on her face Panel 2: "I love what I do. And I work in entertainment - providing beauty and escapism for my audience." She puts her glasses back on and picks up her tablet pen, sniffling

Panel 1: "We need art in turbulent times. People need escape from the horrors. And if I can provide that - then I'm being helpful." Cait starts drawing, but the pinging alerts are on the rise again. Panel 2: "I'm being helpful. I'm being helpful... I'm being helpful... I'm helpful... Helpful..." She draws, trembling, as the alerts swell around her.

Feeling... rough. Lately.
