open.spotify.com/episode/0bIu... I’ve been listening to Mitchell Hashimoto’s journey and the bit that curdled my mind was the “unplugging your mouse” part. I wonder if it’s still possible in today’s OSs to unplug the mouse and navigate just as easily, maybe even more ergonomically in fact.

Oh I also had a chance to finally meet my imaginary friend @kakkoyun.me after all of our online chats (my wife was still skeptical because no pics) and it was also enlightening to bother @bboreham.bsky.social with my existential questions about open source and finding “the itch”!

I was so excited for my first #gopherconUK yesterday and between sessions of eating great food, I had the chance to learn about the new green tea garbage collector, weak pointers and some new Go 1.25 changes (thanks to @mvdan.cc and Sam Buns). Did I mention the food was great? #golang

I was wondering how do I go about finding my own people on Bluesky but then I found these starter packs github.com/stevendborre... and now I can’t stop. Interesting moment for me to realize #observability being listed under systems engineering. My identity search as a software engineer continues:)

I’m fortunate to have a call with the Bluesky backend team for an hour a week, and I’m continually blown away at how good they are at engineering their systems, how thoughtful they are about protocol design, and how smoothly they’ve been handling a huge influx of new users. Seriously impressive
