OH YEAH! Here is a playlist on how to use the software if anyone wants to check it out and get started with it. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
I will also say that good on Maxon for having this free for individuals. I am open for competition against Adobe. This is a huge win in my book. I was hesitant back but this cool to see. I will keep my eye on it though for sure.
I used this software when it was under Left Angle and now that it is free, I can say that this it does not hurt to try out for anyone looking for this type of VFX software. Glad to see it's back and being updated.
A year ago today, I became a YT partner. I am still flabbergasted by this to this day and I am thankful that I am even here to begin with. So much has changed over the past year. I just wanted to say, thanks again. Hopefully this is the year I finally hit that 4K watch hour mark!

EXACTLY!
when are prairie dogging it but you but you are stuck behind a slow moving car and you are just a few blocks away from your house
Went out and saw the Mario galaxy movie today. My honest thoughts is that I think it was better than the first one and the callbacks were great. It was nice to have more Luigi in this film as well. Now give me a Luigi’s Mansion or Mario Sunshine movie you cowards.
Honestly I did want to get this out sooner in the year but I am at a weird place with this series. I figure I put it out without notifying subscribers as I don't want to clog up in subscriber boxes is the best thing but those who want to see it now have the option to look for it. :P
It's almost midnight so it's time to lookback for some reason. Idk, here's a lookback episode for 2025. Why randomly on a thursday night? Who cares, check it out here if you'd like. I know these aren't popular but figured I'd put it out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPFz...
If a post makes you angry, wait at least one hour before you reply. Go ahead and post if you're still angry then, but I promise you won't be. Even a few minutes away from the screen makes you quickly realize how little any of this matters.
Anyway, that's my thread on vegas pro. Just thought it was interesting to see this change. I am just super glad it's still offering perpetual licenses...yeah...looking at you affinity. smh
Vegas Pro is just my metaphorical brush when it comes to editing my videos together and I am hopeful for the future of this software but I remain skeptical as I do know the hiccups it has had in the past...espeically since I am still on an older nvidia graphics card software build haha.
The thing is at the end of the day, we as video editors...we are just making "art." It doesn't really matter what "tools" we use to make said "art" as we all end up with a video, film, show or whatever you want to call it at the end of the day. That's the important thing with all of this.
we shall wait and see what Boris FX does with Vegas Pro and Magix's assets as I know they recently bought Music Maker as well. Now, I'm not sponsored or being paid to say any of these things but I just wanted to make a thread about it since I have been using this software for almost twenty years.
Now yes, I used Premiere in the past but I don't like Adobe as many of you know but I will admit Resolve is a great alternative as well. Vegas just works with my current workflow and what I wanted to continue using for my current setup. I will keep an eye out for the future updates but until then...
That being said, I am very glad that there is still a perpetual license option for the first two versions of the software. Perpetual licenses are very important in this subscription-based day and age...and one of the main reasons why I have stuck with Vegas Pro to this day.
Since changing my workflow back in 2024, I primarily do everything in Vegas Pro and Boris FX, along side NewBlueFX, have been keeping me in the timeline. I've been using Vegas Pro 21 for the longest time and have had some minor hiccups here and there but it's been rock solid most of the time.
I have been using Vegas Pro since it was under Sony. I absolutely love this editing software but I know there are many various issues that plague it. It's not anyone's number one choice anymore but this change of hands is again, for the best...especially with the plugins from BorisFX.
A quick video editing thread but it seems that my editing software, Vegas Pro, has changed hands once again and now under the umbrella of Boris FX. I actually use a handful of their plugins in Vegas Pro and this is probably for the best.

Left sells the effect more but the right is cleaner.
I wish I was as cool as you
