... really struggling how to interpret this.

Project Hail Mary is uh. real good. halfway into the book and already fantasizing about going to see the movie a second time.
I would say the smart shape and general QOL updates are worth the update this time around! I was also on V3, but I bought V5 during a sale. I feel like it runs a lot smoother now and doesn't lag as much while using 3D models.
I used to rely on the ruler tool for basically everything (straight lines in BGs, curved/long lines in BGs and on characters), but now I can just use the smart shape feature. It's waaaayyyy faster for me to crank out a page now π₯Ή
this has legitimately and immensely sped up my comic workflow. I can't believe how badly I needed that smart shape feature.
the bundle of both games is on sale on Steam too π
presenting these two screenshots without context just to say they're representative of some of the most incredible gameplay and story moments I've had in a game in a good long while. Go play Perfect Tides and Perfect Tides: Station to Station, PLEASE
My Scarlet Hollow cousin (mystical + street smart) Briar, who's doing her best at any given moment, but she's surrounded by so, so much bullshit in this dumbass town.
okay yeah that's fair, I just tend to not count it as a feature bc I always have my brushes set to way bigger than what is useful for the shift straight lines lol
You can keep holding the stroke to move the end point around freely :)
I need everyone who sees this to understand that it has never been possible to do a quick straight line in this program 'till now. you had to use a separate tool :^)
me after this update
This works almost exactly like in procreate where you hold the stroke for a second longer and it snaps into an even line

oh my god, finally an actually useful baseline update to make it worth switching to a new Clip Studio Paint version

Yeah my BF and I play as Brome and Galandra and those two hate each other for some reason
Is this based on the dialogues within the hub or the ones while out on runs? bc in my experience the stuff they say to each other while out on runs (especially at campsites) is anything but friendly.
It's not really a deal-breaker for me, considering the core gameplay kicks ass and the art is GORGEOUS. The music slaps too. The story is just a little generic and yeah, don't love how the characters are written. Also it's pretty buggy still. But again, I would still recommend it!
it'd be fine if it was like, colleagues being snarky but ultimately friendly, but no, these people legit hate each other π
probably a pretty lukewarm take, but Absolum is a pretty great game that would be an absolute banger of a game if the characters weren't all melodramatic bitches who are complete assholes to one another
If you wanna watch something Silent Hill adjacent that's actually good and has those vibes, I'd go with the OG, Jacob's Ladder. I'll also throw in a recommendation for The Ritual, it passes that same vibe check for me.
anyway, this movie was a fucking trip. not a good one, but I was genuinely fascinated by the sheer audacity of some of the choices they made along the way.
