He might not of course but Brian has committed a crime. #TheArchers

Good for George, I say! Recording the conversation might help the wrongly accused guy.
My prediction is that we’ll first hear her in a heart to heart with Amber. #TheArchers
Anyway, I’m off, this is clearly not the forum for me.
Clive Horrobin is a bad person, if we must use simplistic language; George’s character is written far more subtly and it’s possible to sympathise with him and his conflicted personality. I feel for him much of the time.
He apologised to Helen for the video, clashed with Hannah however, agree, but also contributed well to the cricket team, and saved people from drowning FGS! So a mixture of good and bad, a conflicted lad, not an out and out delinquent and once a perfectly normal young child. Nuanced writing by Sws.
As far as I can work it out, he wasn’t.
Mia born 2006 (month not available). George born 7th April 2005. Not much in it, as Will started dating Nic in 2007. Both toddlers at the time of the smacking incident possibly early 2008?
He’s 20, so those of us who’ve been listening for decades and remember George being born might possibly have an advantage!😀
The demonisation of George by some listeners is quite unfair and not always backed up by evidence. Harsh world if a small kid, no more than a toddler or even aged 6, is judged for their normal childish behaviour! I think he was about 2 when he pushed Mia and was smacked by Nic.
George thinks most of the village hates him, so it could have been anyone.
I thought that he was still drunk and was talking to himself, still expressing the turmoil in his mind, but maybe someone who resented his return to Ambridge in some way overheard him and attacked him on impulse, so not a planned revenge by one of Markie’s men at all.
Angus Stobie gives such a brilliant performance that I want George to stay, also I care about George and want to give him a chance, as, indeed does Alice, it seems! But the love triangle would be tedious!
No, George helped Alastair in his rescue attempt,, then went back again for Fallon.
Apologist is the wrong word, it’s more about empathy and seeing the world from the pov of a troubled and confused young man. One who I fear may attempt suicide. #TheArchers
But then, having tried to give him kind advice re a job, she put the boot into him again, those words about ‘ruining a relationship with a girl no-one could believe he managed to get’! Ouch! #TheArchers
But it was George who saved her from drowning, and he deserved some credit for that. #TheArchers
I’m very much #TeamGrundy, and I’ve sympathised with Emma in particular in recent years. She’s done her best as a mother in my opinion, not an easy thing to do in today’s complex society. #TheArchers
Thing is, George, while being abusive and drunk, is right in a way about Fallon’s lack of gratitude. She did put the boot into him during his trial. I was disgusted with her. #TheArchers
‘CAN’ see his pov, sorry! #TheArchers
A horrible diatribe against Fallon, yes, but I can’t see his pov re. some of the things she said in her victim statement in court. I was appalled by it at the time. Also, I’m more #teamGeorge than not. #TheArchers
Seeing it in our local cinema tomorrow! Will look out for ‘Brad’
Agree, it was unsettling re. Neil!
Sigh… initially, he was trying to do a good thing, driving her home to safety having found her comatose with booze. Alice has never acknowledged her part in the accident but it’s time for everyone in Ambridge to move on.
No, he wasn’t.
Alice caused the accident. George rescued people from the river. It’s a subtly written, nuanced SL that can’t be judged simply.#TheArchers
How many ‘victims’ does George have? I’d suggest only one, Alice, and she confronted him before the trial with her statement and he apologised. #TheArchers
I'm not sure that Ambridge works like any RL rural villages! That's part of the appeal. #TheArchers
An incomer who’s been there since 1986? I’d say she’s earned the right to be regarded as the treasure of the village by now! Love her! #TheArchers
But Alice wouldn’t have been charged with perverting the course of justice; she’d have been charged causing an accident while drink driving. #TheArchers
