One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.

Young people bear the brunt of that imbalance.

Be a housing fan.

Economic Impacts of U.S. Senate “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” Energy Provisions • Energy Innovation The Senate's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" will cost America 300GW of new power, $960 billion in GDP, and 770,000 lost jobs.

The bill the Senate is voting on right now would reduce US power generation through 2035 by 300GW, raise wholesale & retail power prices, increase household energy costs, reduce national GDP, & kill 100s of 1000s of jobs.

I mean, this isn't "public grocery store" bad, but it's pretty bad!

I’m filing a lawsuit against President Trump after he signed illegal resolutions to target California’s clean air policies.

Trump’s all-out assault on California continues, and this time he’s destroying our public health and America’s global competitiveness in the process.

The public cannot afford to build the amount of housing we need.

We need to remove barriers to let the private sector build housing.

Massive amounts of housing is built when barriers to building housing are removed.

It’s because the feds eliminated the free file option.

More people will need to use their bullshit lobbyist enabled software.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

Fixed it for you, @sfchronicle.com. No death deserves to go this undignified, this unanswered for. Holding the victim and loved ones in my heart.

Last week, Montana voted to:
- legalize 6-story apartments on most commercial land
- sharply cut multifamily parking mandates
- limit excess impact fees
- cut condo defect liability
- require equal treatment for manufactured homes
- legalize single-stair buildings up to 6 stories statewide

If the Blue State housing deniers are correct, this will lead to:

-Displacement
-Rising rents
-Drivers circling for parking
-Increased deaths in home fires

I think they are wrong, but we'll probably find out before California adopts any of these policies.

Trump's meme coin, which had fizzled in value, surges after offer of dinner with the president President Trump's meme coin had lost 88% of its value. But an offer of dinner with the president helped boost its price on Wednesday.

Donald Trump is auctioning off presidential face time to the biggest investors in his personal crypto coin scheme and using the White House for personal profit. Despicable. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-c...

Senate Bill 79 will legalize more housing near transit across California It’s time to end this practice of banning new homes in areas where we are making massive public transit investments.

California needs a lot more housing & we should prioritize housing near high-quality transit.

I’m authoring legislation to do just that. SB 79 authorizes denser housing by our highest quality transit. It’ll help transit systems succeed, reduce carbon emissions & create more sustainable communities.
