My friends Amber and Marc need help to take care of Amber's mom, who is recovering from surgery for a brain bleed. Marc is the developer behind the Mega Man 5gb remake, but he had his own medical emergency last year that left him needing to relearn how to walk.

UPDATE
We've been struggling to get her to eat again, so she can be transferred to a facility close to home. We're relying on FMLA now, risking everything financially, and won't be leaving until she transfers. Without us here between the weekends she wouldn't eat or talk at all.

This sounds like a pretty severe case of executive dysfunction to me (not a doctor though). I assume you've tried breaking stuff down into smaller tasks, but how about literally moving to a different area when it's time to get ready for work to "trick" your brain into getting into a different mode?

She woke up finally, although in many ways this is just the beginning. She responded to simple things only but that is not unusual they said. They're working towards getting her in a condition to start physical and occupational therapy. Details in link.
