This is just to say, rationing always happens, it's just done by price and it's always, always, always the poorest among us who pay the most. Can't afford to fill it up, always at the mercy of the fluctuating price and at a certain point, you just have to forego.
So true - and there’s additional baked in inequity when you think of the types of jobs that aren’t possible to be done remotely and which are the poorest paid - the caring roles, service roles, all the roles that scaffold the wealthy.

Terrible terrible palpitations also exacerbated by my last bout of Covid. I was on beta blockers for a while and now waiting on a cardiac CT to determine if I can try another med as they worsened my asthma. I’m 56. HRT hasn’t helped there.

i guess the issue is how much of a loss they are making and how susceptible the line item is to more negative variance over time Because that will have a compounding effect.
The trouble is, if margins are slim, his loss-making activities are canceling out profit elsewhere. I can’t imagine feeling too great if my successes were in part consumed by something entirely avoidable.
