Even spies can't get away from traffic violence

No one likes flinging themselves in front of drivers. Sometimes the law actually and appropriately differentiates between bikes and cars

Everyday the Trump idiots are trying to kill us in new ways. This particular line should tell you something. Hint: "remove bike and bus lanes"

Colorado's version of this bullshit fizzled and died because the Colorado Automotive Dealers Association who ran it were and is run by clowns, but this remains funny.
Remember when CADA had their own Colorado based Freedom To Drive Coalition? It's since died, but it was the same bullshit.
Bike fatalities in San Diego:
- Child killed on a sidewalk by driver speeding down alley
- Man killed rearended on quiet residential street suspected distracted driving
- Woman killed in Gaslamp sideswiped by pickup driver
- Mother killed on ebike by driver running a stop sign
The cars are problem
Totally. I'm in a condo with thick concrete. My neighbors need to work hard to get through the walls and our management company takes noise issues seriously. It's rare that we have problems.
Colorado needs help sure but this also seems a very North American problem
I like density but until we address the noise issue in buildings they are going to continue to be a revolving door of renters until someone can get a "real home".
The fight for density is going to continue losing if existing in these places is always so hard.
Add this to some slide decks for future presentations @drtaragoddard.com and @ianwalker.bsky.social
I was biking in a very different part of the Denver region the other day - one that if you look at the background clearly isn't meant for biking - but I came across this amazing sticker decorating the beg button...
In Denver we've been able to install things like speed humps in part because we lowered speed limits.
An engineer is always going to design for conditions of the street so lowering the limit is absolutely necessary. Glad to see this put so well.
Wild dissociations from reality smack in front of their faces
Have you managed the statistical anomaly of never encountering a driver and their thousands of pounds vehicles?
All housing problems are solved by empty lean-to shacks in the middle of swamps nowhere near services, amenities, family, friends or even fun. Duh!
Do fish things: salmon and shoal.
someday there will be a cure for the compulsion to make waffle posts
Can confirm, was a Blockbuster employee for a time. Although their point of sale systems were so prehistoric, even back then, I'm not sure there was a software engineer on the planet capable of extracting anything useful from their systems.
We typed in membership details from a paper sign up sheet.
You don't get to latch onto to the prevailing winds and wing it back into office.
Then there is the controversy of funneling projects to your family's construction business. Just no, District 11 needs new blood.

βWe should not be building bike lanes and sidewalks that lead nowhere just to count the miles,β he wrote in a statement. βWe need reliable transportation options that support climate resiliencyβ"
This from the guy that saw a picture of illegal parking in City Park and suggested we need more parking
Maybe he'll surprise us all but I kinda doubt it...
Please don't. This is the guy that laughed when talking about there being no crashes in our City Parks and how we needed more parking in our parks not less. This among many other big blunders, his absence has not been a loss. Please just retire.

I always love a Colorado second winter.
RIP to the gardens that got started but this happens every year after we've started wearing shorts for a few weeks.
Obligatory "we need the moisture"
All that bullshit over 10 bicycles?! The car has broken the human brain.
This reminds me of my visits to Indiana
Guided by consultants this new cone plan will inform the next plan that we place on a shelf.
You can get one cone but only on Sundays between 7am-9am and it moves locations every other week. Not setup during holidays.
