It would be interesting to compare that nowadays too, also with male voices. I grew up with dubbing, and to this day I am disapointed at how boring Bruce Willis originally sounds 😆 His German dubbing voices sound way more manly.

I find that interesting also in regards to women's voices. I noticed that in older movies, the original actresses' voices were often of a deeper and darker quality, and in German dubbing, they had a much higher pitch. I guess because Germany culturally preferred that at the time.
