That said, having watched various levels of youth and adult GAA contests, and having dipped our toes in travel hockey, I have not seen that ONE DAD or that ONE MOM at a hurling match yet.

Among all sports, hurling is most similar to ice hockey, in both the raw physicality, and the contagious level of vicariousness the spectators/parents exhibit.

If you're bringing your dog to a dog-friendly 3rd place, guess what, you're in charge of an animal and need to be 100% on-point.

Most of my fellow dog-stewards do not respect that.

I walk my dog to my neighborhood pub several times a week. He's well socialized, the staff love him. We stick to our crew, and don't linger for more than a pint. Fresh air, exercise, and encounters with friends are good for people and dogs alike.

That said, we encounter a lot of patrons with dogs-
