You should keep me here by engaging in my newfound love of esoteric European playing card games! #cantStopTarock

I remember when you started. 🙂 The comment was more about how stark the improvement is once you suddenly see where you're at now.

I haven't been on bluesky in ages. These rule.

Any procedural trump would be bad. My theory js the suit should either be static (Tarot, Spades) or determined by one or more players (Bridge, Skat).

Oddly enough one of my few...posts? can't say tweets... was also related to #SDHistCon a year ago and how I was jealous I wasnt there. And I was just watching a video yesterday from @colewehrle.bsky.social about which wargames I should buy next.

I am looking back onto this platform after successfully cutting out all my social media. So here, have some recent board game photos.

I really suck at this Bluesky thing but to be fair I really sucked at Twitter too.

EXIF data is all the information about the camera settings that went into a photo, even including GPS Latitude and Longitude. In this case, those coordinates are baked into the photo.

@danthurot.bsky. I dunno what this convention is, but you have sufficiently made me jealous I'm not there. Well done. #SDHistCon

Ha, I like how you can't erase the geolocation info from this picture just by deleting the EXIF data.

Learned Blood Bowl yesterday! I could see myself having a lot of fun with this one. 3D Printing a team now.

Not the biggest fan of most scifi honestly. Really excited to start printing some resin 3D minis rather than going all in on a game I'll never play.

Nice! I have similar tastes, but with about twice as much nightmare material. (Translation: I found KDM and am constantly on the lookout for more creators in a similar vein)

Who else is super into mini painting but not wargaming?

The weird dichotomy of my gaming tendencies lately. Backed Molly House, researching Blood Bowl.

Cosmic Frog by Jenna Felli opened up a rabbit hole I didn't know I needed. Now painting miniatures. Bought an airbrush, hopefully getting a resin printer soon.

The legendary, infamous king pawn from the classic game El Grande. A stiff six inches of wood with a well-shaped knob at the top.

The so-called king pawn from the new reprint of El Grande. The most busted-looking meeple you ever seen in your life. Miniature. Malformed. Residue flaking off it like sheets of dead skin.

The tortilla chip as we know it is widely credited to Rebecca Webb Carranza. She invented the snack in mid-1940s Los Angeles. The recipe was simple: she cut a batch of misshapen tortillas into triangles and then fried them on a hot skillet for a family party with friends.

Oh yeah, the real question is, which game is in your Top 10 and which are in your Top 20?

Curious to know your reaction. Some day it tries to do too much. I like how it leans into the deck building.
