One of my all-time favorites!! Though the experience does somewhat depend on how much you like Shakespeare's tragedies haha. Have you read "The Secret History" by any chance? They are often compared together for similar themes and story setup.

ηΌšθ€³ζ₯/ε…₯戏 (For a Lie). Finally fell under my friend's persistent pressures to start this book. So far it's really good, not really what I was expecting.

On that note, does anyone have any good recommendations?

Love open endings. Of course, the ending has to be done wellβ€”not just put there because the author ran out of motivation or didn’t know how to finish the storyβ€”but I enjoy endings that are left a bit ambiguous and undefined.

Wayy too many but the one that came to mind was Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin

β€œIf you cannot love me, I will die. Before you came I wanted to die, I have told you many times. It is cruel to have made me want to live only to make my death more bloody.”

6β˜† - Phenomenal. Changed my life and worldview
5β˜† - Outstanding
4β˜† - Very Good
3β˜† - Decent but eh/Mediocre
2β˜† - Poor
1β˜† - Awful
0.xβ˜† - Horrendous. Will hate on this for the rest of eternity.

But I'm very much a mood rater most of the time and would give arbitrary ratings of like 4.37β˜† and 9.999β˜†.
