In working on “Of Undines and Wondrous Cats: The Fantastical in Aria”, after doing my detailed anime notes, I'll start reading secondary sources (reviews, interviews, analytical essays, etc.).
Does anyone have any secondary sources - English, Japnese, or otherwise - for Aria that they’d recommend?

If you're looking for simpler uses, anything you use scallions for, ramps can also do. The leaves can be more fibrous, so do keep that in mind.
The bases, briefly grilled are incredible. They make a funky addition to a risotto. The pickled bases are very tasty. If you have any greens leftover, making a compound butter with some of those and lemon zest for later use is a good way to make the tops last longer.

This reminds me of how stressful yet fulfilling it is to save wasps/bees that get stuck on the porch at the family home. They are rarely grateful. When I'm out in the garden, I'll work right beside flowers filled with wasps and they are chill most of the time. That and they nab the catepillars.
As someone who works in the finance industry and with these kinds of securities on a reasonably regular basis, one important thing that folks should know is that finding a place to hold these kind of private stocks is an absolute pain and can be very expensive. That and getting rid of them can suck.

The almost empty-headed look of the Gundam just before it unleashes its final attack always struck me as a wonderful touch. That I got to watch the premiere live at the special event in Shinjuku with about 300-400 other Gundam fans remains an absolute highlight of my 2022 trip to Japan.
Chinashi's opening is the best pitch for Kamiina Botan, especially in its full & uncropped version. A series about college students mostly having a good time (and a good drink), framed with a handheld camera and so much preemptive nostalgia you feel like the cast ought to watch this many years later

I haven't added much to my Gundam website since the start of the year. But behind the scenes, I'm working on some "Char's Counterattack" production history stuff, and also wasting some time on a side project for which the margin of Bluesky text limits may be too narrow to contain an explanation...
I haven't seen the anime yet, but this makes me hopeful. Maybe if I'm inspired enough, I could try cooking the stuff one of these years.
Got the final Otakon panel submitted. This will be the fewest panels I've ever submitted for Otakon and, on account of how competitive Otakon is, I never know exactly how it'll go. Here's hoping.
I got 3 of the 4 panel submissions for Otakon submitted. I'll do the final Aria panel submission between Friday and Saturday as that'll be the most complex one on account of it being unique and new.
The Otakon deadline has forced my hand on naming the new panels I'll be preparing in 2026. The first, "Anime Foodies: Laid-Back Camp Season 3 Part 1", is pretty straightforward. The other new one required more thought, but I've settled on "Of Undines and Wondrous Cats: The Fantastical in Aria".
