@susanarendt.bsky.social it’s been 10 years since my Kylo Ren cosplay at PAX East 😱

They can, since the copies are being cast from exile, they would just go to the bottom and cease to exist there at the next SBA check

No different than triggering Neera off of a Panoptic Mirror or Isochron ScepterM’s cast copy

Since paradigm only cares about the first copy with that name to resolve, it doesn’t matter how many times you attempt to cast it, as long as at it or a copy resolves at least once you’ll get the trigger for the rest of the game

Neera’s trigger resolves before the Paradigm spell

The creation of the delayed trigger and exiling of a Paradigm spell only happen when it resolves, so if Neera’s trigger puts the first cast one on the bottom then the paradigm spell isn’t resolving, so you wouldn’t get copies each following turn

Bulk Up too

Really good with some of the Red Blue flyers and/or tramplers, especially the ones that pump themselves like the skywhale

So all you need to do is get a sticker on one by manifesting a paradigm card, get it into the graveyard, and then flashback it.

Yup. When “Urza‘s Echocasting Symposium” resolves the delayed trigger is created based on that name

When the copy is created it doesn’t use the text-change from the sticker, so I get a copy of just “Echocasting Symposium;” and because it’s the first time that name is resolving I get another trigger

Not using Narset’s Reversal on your own spell, but you’ll get a permanent trigger if you NR to copy an opponent’s paradigm spell

Stickers will work to double up on the Paradigm trigger, because when it resolves the trigger uses the stickered name, but the copy doesn’t

No Narset’s Reversal needed to cast a copy of the Non-Stickered name first. Stickers apply to the name when the spell is resolving, but aren’t copiable so the copy created in exile is just the printed name, which is then the first time *that* spell name is resolving

CR update finally dropped for Paradigm and I’m stoked that not only does Name Stickering Paradigm spells work to double up on the delayed trigger, it works even better than the scenario I originally cited

Flashback a Stickered Paradigm spell, and the copy will be cast with the Non-stickered name

If not for Trump, what's the emoluments clause for? What's impeachment for? What's the 25th Amendment for? What's section 3 of the 14th Amendment for? What are checks and balances for?

The baddies are cherrypicking the Constitution the same way they do the bible: for their own benefit.

Yup, the brakes on my 2026 hype train fell off in January; it’s been nonstop excitement for this year’s sets

End board state was 32 Leitmotif Composers, 22 of which had haste; 4 Mirrorwing Dragons, 4 Stormcatch Mentors, and 4 Inspired Skypainter, two of which were still prepared

I’m picking up the Prismari precon to try and recreate this board state in a paper game and then build a custom deck to do
it

It could be a 2 hour monologue of Rick Moranis saying anything he wanted to and I’d still pay to see it in theaters

I do appreciate that that lair acts as a commander starter kit so they can all go in an Anhelo deck together

Why is 6 Afraid of 7? - Commander (Sokrates, Athenian Teacher) A Commander deck featuring Sokrates, Athenian Teacher by Punderdome • Every card that isn't a basic land has at least one printing where the collector number is 67

I don’t know which is more cursed: building a deck around the “6-7” meme where every non-basic card has a printing with collector number 67, or that that restriction still has access to Counterspell, Mana Drain, AND Smothering Tithe

Fully agree, I’m just more conservative/harsh in judgements on my own version of the list than others might be.

Need to re-visit my version I and another member on the Commander Staple discord started and get that polished up

…While Sword of Dungeons and Dragons is mechanically not black-bordered as is (solely due to the token’s color) but IMO would be unfair to disallow on that basis alone, as play pattern wise it’s not beyond the pale

It’s definitely no small task, because there has to be buy-in on what cards are acceptable

For example: Jack-in-the-Mox is *mechanically* black-bordered, but IMO shouldn’t be allowed in commander for the same reason the other Moxes are banned (even though only 5C decks could run it)…

No, Midas touch, in the allegorical sense of the unintended consequences of turning *everything* he touched into gold (including food, loved ones, etc)
