64.5% voter turnout is how you lose a democracy.
It's in the lower third of all democracies.
In '24, 20M registered Democrats stayed home.
90M people of voting age never even bothered to register to vote.
Shameful.
The great thing about solar energy is that nobody starts wars to control it.

Holy shit! There are even NO KINGS antiwar protests in Israel! ❤
Let’s cut the red tape, modernize codes, streamline permitting, and lower costs.
It’s time to build, Illinois.
Has anyone explained to Steve Bannon that if they corrupt our Constitution to allow Trump to run for a 3rd term, that Obama can be our 48th President?
No Kings just cats with a surprise guest at the end 😸
Can we please stop saying "this is illegal" with reference to imperialism or political corruption?
Its misleading for two reasons.
1. It implies that the law against it is actually enforced.
2. It implies that if something doesn't violate capitalist laws, then its actually fine.
So many people are worried about “Muslim Terrorists”.
I have a fairly simple idea that might really reduce the next wave of them.
Stop Israel/US slaughtering Muslims indiscriminately.
Cause and effect knobheads.
It’s not hard to figure out.
Friend got pulled over with me in the passenger seat after honking in support of the protesters and the cop kept asking *me* questions.
“Can I see your drivers license?”
“Nope.”
“Why?”
“I’m not driving.”
He was really mad.

🇵🇱🇺🇦President #Karol_Nawrocki has signed into law a bill granting legal amnesty to #Poles who have taken up arms in defence of #Ukraine.
Normally, under #Polish law, serving in a foreign military without official consent is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison.

BREAKING: Now that all the journalists have been successfully killed in Gaza, the IDF says it has moved on to the important task of killing all of the journalists in Lebanon ♥️
you can if you are not paying for it or promoting it, if you just enjoy it on your own terms
A global oil shortage better start convincing people real fast that green energy isn't just necessary for adressing the fight against climate change, but also necessary for economic stability and independance.
Terrified of repercussions… you know, like innocent people are.
“I don’t want to be one of those people that sat,” said Libby Blyth, an accountant who drives people to work who are afraid of being spotted by ICE and delivers food to families in hiding.
“I don’t want to be somebody’s history lesson.”
At Democratic #NoKings protests, they used flags to wave.
At Republican #Jan6 protest, they used flags to assault police officers.
The two parties are *not* the same.
Maggie Rogers, Joan Baez, and Tom Morello performing “The Times They Are A-Changin'”
they are doing more than something
they are displaying the utter disgust Americans and others now have for POTUS and his flatterers, so all the world can see and fight back
i understand most of us are frustrated and dont know what to do right now. people protesting dont have all the answers either, but they are doing something. respect that

“Do you think this is it justifiable to drive in the bike lane, throw objects out the window, run a cyclist into traffic just for squirting water on your car (after you already swerved at them)?”
SENTENCE It's as if you'd woken in a locked cell and found in your pocket a slip of paper, and on it a single sentence in a language you don't know. And you'd be sure this sentence was the key to your life. Also to this cell. And you'd spend years trying to decipher the sentence, until finally you'd understand it. But after a while you'd realize you got it wrong, and the sentence meant something else entirely. And so you'd have two sentences. Then three, and four, and ten, until you'd created a new language. And in that language you'd write the novel of your life. And once you'd reached old age you'd notice the door of the cell was open. You'd go out into the world. You'd walk the length and breadth of it, until in the shade of a massive tree you'd yearn for that one single sentence in a language you don't know. --Tadeusz Dąbrowski (Translated, from the Polish, by Antonia Lloyd-Jones.)
