I've been really enjoying following your progress here. Congrats on the public beta release!

When optimizing (perf, loading, memory use, build/patch size), it's often really surprising what is expensive.
Always measure a baseline before making changes. It'll reveal those surprises, save you time, give you a nice before/after story that is easy to teach from, and make you look like a hero.
INTRODUCTION TO SPHERICAL HARMONICS FOR GRAPHICS PROGRAMMERS

I am so lucky to be born in 1969. I saw Star Wars at the cinema, and was the right age when the first home computers were released! Born 100 years earlier and who knows what I would have done as a job, but computers were clearly perfect for me. I wouldn't choose to be younger or older.
Background for the mountain pass area of Puzzle Rogue!
One thing I find interesting is that despite seemingly the ENTIRE INDUSTRY trying to kill VR and make it seem as uncool as possible... VRChat has grown almost every month for almost eight years now and is among the top 25 most played things on Steam.
Niche? Perhaps, but a big & hungry one.
One of the ongoing missions is to find out how things are affected by exposure to space.
We now know that Outlook behaves exactly the same in space.
Science!
I'll repost this again in the morning but for #TDOV #TransDayofVisibility I'll be doing a live audiobook recording of an early sci-fi trans classic (and one of my favorite books of all time) "The Left Hand of Darkness" by Ursula K. Le Guin
I plan on starting the stream around noon PT!
Trans Day Of Give My Game Visibility Please And Thank You
Unity will be hosting our very own Alyssa Kollgaard along with games lawyer and founder of DeviantLegal, Rene Otto, for a livestream on the Unity Twitch and YouTube channels Thursday, April 2nd. Join the stream at 12pm EDT to learn all you need to know about red flags in publishing contract terms.
Also, being 10% done with implementing UI looks like being 90% done to outside observers.
Never put in a placeholder you wouldn't be at least kinda ok with shipping.
Just want to add my voice to the chorus of support, John.
There's a lot that's wrong out there right now, but your voice in games is one of the tremendously positive ones.
Happy March 15. Here is my favorite Ides of March meme:
Can we also go back to grid computing rather than the cloud?
One makes me feel like I'm wiring up two devices that never should be able to talk to each other while shafts of light pierce around a slow-rotating fan and dangling cables in my lair
The other feels like I'm working to make execs money.

I got the opportunity to work with GameMaker to put together the Steam event for their Awards!
Several Akupara titles are made with GameMaker engine, and I love that it helps make game development more accessible for everyone :)
Eh fuck it, I'll shoot my shot.
If you need someone to helm voiceover for your project, I pretty much do it all: casting actors, directing recording sessions, helping navigate agencies/unions/etc, you name it.
100% "damn this voice acting's awesome" rate ๐
It basically has this in the NVIDIA App, at least on Windows.
I held off on installing it for a long time (bad experiences with the GeForce app) but thankfully it seems okay!
Just published a new update for Puzzle Rogue, a roguelite match-3 game fully playable in your browser! Parallax backgrounds, more effects, and other fun stuff!

Do streamers get the same amount from Prime subs as they do regular subs?
Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace
Hear me out: That shit was in and out of theaters so fast it was like observing a quantum event.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is genuinely fantastic.
Castlevania: Mirror of Fate doesn't get a lot of love, but I really enjoyed it. The same team did Metroid II: Samus Returns on the 3DS also.
I had a ball with Super Mario 3D Land, too!
