And tiny desk, which was NOT bet on,
I learned recently that it’s an insult in Germany to call someone “hobbyless” or to engage in “hobbyless behavior” and it’s become my favorite way to think of assholes who have nothing better to do than to make other people miserable. Get a hobby. Build a model train and calm down.
When I taught college courses a couple years ago two classes were adapted from my main work (DevPods.gg) the other two were on rapid prototyping for game design
To establish everything I taught was my material, not the university's, before I started the job I put my prototyping curriculum up free 👇
I haven't had a long enough breath to talk about how AI is ruining the open web. API after API I used to use is closing - literally because paying the $$$ required to feed these impersonation machines is prohibitive.
it's pretty silly that apparently scrolling to the end of the fifty pages of legal writing in a terms of service before you can click next counts as you read it, which is out of touch with the reality we all live in understanding that literally no one on earth read it except who got paid to write it
This is a dance off. If you see this, repost with a dance or get eliminated
in fairness the game presents an explanation which fits tmnt universe better than my post implies (visible change in-game near the end of that clip)
Godzilla game meme shows Godzilla in City with kash Patel face edited on. caption below visibly edited as coming from a city worker says go ahead and sue the Atlantic kash patel, famously the press probably doesn't have receipts.
alright yeah you got me this is a stretch I kept like 4 words but it kinda works right and would make the people happy

many of us believed steve jobs was just an asshole taking credit for other people's work, but the way the company has not made a solid design decision since he passed away won me over to thinking he (still clearly an asshole! both things can be true) actually did deserve credit for when apple worked
> people I met in line at the time were also developers buying it
it refers to early gen iPhones (but I'd started development on an iPod Touch to get a head start on similar hardware) and the first wave of iPads. I did not buy an Apple Vision Pro. It was bad for Apple's dev ecosystem and bad for VR
I made a top selling iPhone game when App Store launched, when iPad was new made top ranked apps for it, people I met in line at the time were also developers buying it as a business expense. For AVP I believe Apple knowingly took advantage of cashing in on that crowd, with no plan to follow through
I'm a frequent VR user (not for metaverse), 100s of hours a year in standalone and PC VR, the day they announced Apple Vision Pro's price I concluded Apple knew it was doomed, already gave up, hoped to recoup as much as they could from developers who fell for thinking there'd be anyone to buy apps
Meme. It says: 'He doesn't look autistic' 'My apologies. Luke, would you mind doing an autism for the lady please' in comment someone else continues: to everyone's horror, Luke then proceeded to name every train ever built.
every time pinball comes up I'm thinking of this as I gauge what's appropriate for the group and situation
me gesturing to the tree behind me, holding out the phone on a clear sky day.
or you mean like this angle maybe
my gloved hand pointing to the tree up close, view of ocean in background.
> as you do with ducks
oh wait so like this angle
me pointing to a tree over my shoulder.
me in 2024 pointing to the same tree over my shoulder.
that's a fair concern so here's me pointing at it 6 years apart
here's too much information about pinball, from when I was on track to make a career out of too much information about pinball
oh hey speaking of my overly literal joke and having a favorite tree for 18 years happy autism awareness month
kind of hard to believe you didn't simply write it all in every language at the same time, you're leaving untold amounts of easy money on the table smh
secret the sad cat has to come to terms with is that the only way to do more than 1 thing is by doing 1 thing at a time
me gesturing behind me to an apartment with a weight bench. some small weights, plastic trash bin and a chair in the corner. open balcony view. I'm giving a happy, slightly self aware absurd expression.
seems fine to me
if anybody's seeing this who lives in the bay area and would be interested in visiting the tree is at Milagra Ridge, easily accessible from Pacifica (walking up the hill) or Daly City (walking from the other side of the hill). here it is in google earth 🌳
might be! hard to say (at least for me as a non-expect) from this angle and without more context clues like knowing where the photo was taken, but there are similar color scheme geese
back of spraypainted concrete installation, no building or even foundation left.
rest of the building it was attached to was demolished and cleaned up so long ago that there's not any trace of it left, but presumably that part was, understandably, hard to demolish
the above photo of the pillbox was taken in 2009, it's had a lot more graffiti in the years since, here it is from last year
