Oh my god that would be such a treat! THE SACRED TEXTS... if you did want to share I'd be super interested in reading (but of course if you end up wanting to keep things for later revelations I totally get that too, happy to learn one way or another!!)

This is mindblowing, I fell for the bait so readily and lived for years utterly secure in my belief that Nosi was Allison's mutant form separated somehow and now... I don't know anything... is the sky even really blue?? (Very excited to see more of this project in case you couldn't tell haha)

literally said "OH FUCK" out loud... your ability to hold onto/foreshadow these things instead of dumping it all is godlike (though I would not be opposed to you dumping either, I like to read and learn)

Thank you!! He is meant to be very creature-y in this until he reveals himself, some kind of crawling monster lurking in the periphery of Leonard's vision.

Haha oh yeah he is very sure that all of his woes are far in the past. Little does he know that bunnies are not so easily exterminated.

Thank you! He is indeed the endling of a long and storied bloodline, certainly a very snobbish one - though all that self-importance eventually just led to two rats beating the crap out of each other in a derelict, rotting house. It'd be tragic if any of them were nice people.

Haha be careful about calling Theo a butler unless you want the fire poker to find a new target! He's technically nobility!

(He'd also be a pretty shoddy butler considering the absolute state of his house. Man could stand to dust a little more often.)

The first half of a comic, drawn in a monochrome cartoon style with heavy black hatching.
In the first panel, an anthro rat man opens a heavy wooden door. The man is dressed in a ~1900s-era sack suit. He is surrounded by the light of the outside, but the inside of the manor is drenched in deep shadow. The door sits beneath an archway crowned with the emblem of a heraldic sheild and a baron's coronet.
In the second panel, the man ascends a flight of stairs. He uses a mote of light he has conjured from his palm to illuminate his surroundings: peeling wallpaper, dusty old painting, cobwebs. He's in a grand old manor, but a very neglected one. In the shadows, below his line of sight, there is another figure hidden in the shadows. His silhouette is that of another rat man, though rather than walking up the stairs he crouches and crawls, more animalistic, the lens of his glasses flashing like a predator's eyes in the dark. One can barely make out the fire poker in his hand.
In the final pinal, the first rat man has drawn back the curtain of a bed. His expression is one of horror; despite being indoors, his breath gives off a chilly fog. He stares down at the silhouette; it looks like the figure of a woman at rest. Behind him, the glasses of his pursuer glint in the pitch darkness.
Text boxes wind their way through all the panels, saying: "He knew he was not welcome. I had rid the manor of vermin before. Overthrown as patriach, he crept back as a thief, here to seize his 'entitlement;' my birthright. If he had not been stopped, he would have had me declared me. He would have taken my home away from me. He would have taken HER away from me."

There is an infestation of rats in Northcrest manor. Which is the vermin and which is the exterminator depends on each one's point of view.

Thank you so much! She's more understated than my more ridiculous tantrum-throwing boys, but I'm glad she has her own appeal.

He's a fearsome little beastie!

Neither does he, which is why touching him is a bad idea.

Probably has fluffier fur than a rat would! The bite risk is the same - that is, high.

His ideal self looks just like his mother, but male and one (1) inch shorter than her.

Haha thank you! I enjoy pushing a fictional weird guy to the brink sometimes. :P

If only they had golf in this universe...

Oh, that is some very fitting mood music!
The end of this family is rather tragic, yeah - none of it needed to happen this way, but the endemic selfishness and myopia (pun not intended) of this bloodline ended in, well, bloodshed.

Ha, they do tend to have some peculiar family drama, don't they? Thank you!

Haha yeah that's a bit of the "ok the lord doth protest too much" happening there.

With shoes: "TAPTAPTAPTAPTAP (furiously)"
Without shoes: you won't know it till he gets you. Or you hear the creepy breathing and/or giggling, depending on his level of mirth at incoming violence.

Thank you! Theo can be a creepy, sneaky little son of a gun when he wants to be. Him being able to be silent on hardwood floors means he's probably barefoot this for this whole scenario, which I feel adds insult to injury.

Man going to creepy derelict Gothic manor completely alone: "surely nothing bad will ever happen to me"

Thank you so very much!! I am happy to have pulled it off, working on this was constant cycling between "oh yeah, it's coming together" and "it's so over" haha

The crawling rat man from earlier is in full view now: his glasses glint, but one crazed eye is visible behind their glare. He is also dressed in a suit, but the blood spattered across his face makes him look distinctly less civilized than the man he's currently bludgeoning with a fire poker. Though you don't see the other man, the splatter and the crimson-red trail of blood arcing over the assailant's head as he readies another blow don't paint a pretty picture of his fate.

The text boxes continue: "She would have understood. She would have done it to protect me too. Even so, I confess... she would not have made such a dreadful mess."

So glad you're all home. It sucks when doctors just throw stuff out there without being sure... I know from experience how scary it can be. I hope the medication helps. Sending good vibrations, for whatever that's worth.

Drawing of an anthro character. This character is drawn as an ermine. He is white-furred, short, chubby, and dressed formally. He grimaces awkwardly, showing crooked fangs. He has a short, bushy tail with a black tip. In the upper corner of the image are three little doodles of the same character in a simplified feral form: one of him doing a weasel war dance, one of him with his mother (a much longer, elegant-looking ermine, and one of him perched on the back of a giant fat rabbit, gnawing on the bunny's ear in carnivorous glee. The bunny seems unbothered.)

Despite Theo really wishing he'd been born as an the same species as his mother instead of as a rat-person, an ermine-Theo would not look as elegant as he thinks he would look.

Oh yes, if any of his novels had anything explicit he'd rip the pages out or glue them together so he doesn't have to look at them. Filth! Pure filth! (Keeps reading anyway)

I think she could figure out something to say eventually but both of them would be wanting to crawl out of their skin the entire time.
