Democrats flipped 2 of the 3 seats in Florida special elections today. Looks like we're going to have a lot to discuss on the ol' YT channel tonight.
Florida State Senate 14 Special - PROJECTION
- 🔵 ☑️ Brian Nathan (D) - 40,212 (50.3%)

Polk Supervisor of Elections reports turnout by political party for HD51:
8,406 voted for Holley (R)
7,817 registered Reps voted
a difference of 589
7,109 voted for Perez (D)
5,545 registered Dems voted
a difference of 1,564
--> the Rep received ~27% of the "swing" unaffiliated/minor party vote
SD-14: Dem lead is now 364 votes. Looks like there is one precinct left. Flip?
DDHQ has called Florida HD-87 for Emily Gregory (D), a flip to the Democrats. Could be one more out in Tampa coming their way but it's very close.
Florida HD-87 is almost final as well, and Dems lead by about 2.3%. This is the State House district which includes Mar-a-Lago, previously GOP.
Only 4 precincts left in FL SD-14 and Dems lead. Not impossible that we are looking at 2 Dem flips tonight but not calling anything yet.
Florida SD-14 looking really interesting now. Dems lead by about 680 votes. DDHQ and NYT think basically all the vote is in.
Say what you will about Florida, but they do tend to wrap up on election night fairly quickly. We probably won't be waiting these races out all night.
