Royal Mail scandal.

2nd-class post will be delivered every other weekday, scrapped on Saturdays.

Price won't be reduced for worse service

"T&E calls on the European Commission's forthcoming Single Ticketing Package to require major rail operators to display and sell other willing operators' tickets under fair conditions"

Eh? There should be no willing here! The willing ones already do it. The issue is the unwilling ones!

Two hooded figures with lamps approach a moonlit, isolated cottage.
A woman answers the door.
We have come for the child, says the hooded figure
So soon? she asks
It is time, says the hooded figure.
The woman is distraught. We should never have got him a library card!
What is done cannot be undone, says the hooded figure
We couldn’t see the harm! We just wanted him to enjoy reading!
For most, it ends there, says the hooded figure, turning away and walking into the wilderness
Oh lord, What have I done! says the woman,
the child walks past her and out into the darkness with them.
Do not cry mother.
I am a writer now.

Statu of a girl in a lush green May garden

Statu of a girl in a lush green May garden

Tis in ourselves that we are thus or thus. Our bodies are our gardens, to the which our wills are gardeners: so that if we will plant nettles, or sow lettuce, set hyssop and weed up tine [..] why, the power and corrigible authority of this lies in our wills.

Before heading home I went to Earlham Cemetery to see a species of rust fungus that I'd not seen before. This is Puccinia saxifragae on Meadow Saxifrage, seen there previously by @vannabartlett.bsky.social & @jeremybartlett.bsky.social .

They've gone to a lot of effort to disguise themselves, heavy use of the word sovereign and a bunch of jumble about bond markets, but so so far from Green.

If you are planning to vote for Scottish Greens don’t be duped by Independent Green Voice nothing environmental or organic about them. Set up by neo-fascist BNP/UKIP. A scandal that they are allowed to use the words green, organic and have a leaf in logo.

Critical Atlantic current significantly more likely to collapse than thought Scientists say finding is ‘very concerning’ as collapse would be catastrophic for Europe, Africa and the Americas

Im convinced the psychopaths running the show don’t care if this happens.

If they can amass more wealth & power in the short term, divide us with fear & hate and ensure the poor & marginalized suffer & die first, they likely see that as a win.

This is what we’re up against.

‘Greatest series ever’ ending after 70 years The show has been hailed as ‘a truly distinctive landmark piece of filmmaking’

I'm so sad to hear this, but of course it's inevitable. Some of the best TV I've ever watched is within this series. Can't wait to see the final instalment.

With the local elections fast approaching this deserves revisiting:

Farage squirms as Rep. Jamie Raskin obliterates the "Putin-loving, free speech imposter, Trump sycophant".

Please share as widely as possible. The news media have a convenient habit of forgetting about Farage's service to Russia.
