And it's fairly unlikely potential candidates will have equal skills and experience in both, so will need to have a team to compensate for whichever deficit, and demonstrably value that.
I think a key question is whether they are looking for the ability to use big data and the ability to engage with patients and VCFSE organisations aspects in balance with each other or whether in practice one outweighs the other. They should complement each other but are not the same.
