I do understand: you want permission. There’s a machine in the corner wrapped in human skin that makes things out of shit and blood to look like whatever you want (as long as you don’t look too closely). You gave one to your teacher and they didn’t notice. Your boss told you to use it after they laid off half the team and it was fine. You fed one to your kids and they liked it. You want to know you can use it sometimes without me thinking less of you. You don’t need me to believe it’s useful, you just want me to be polite about it.
But I am a hater, and I will not be polite. The machine is disgusting and we should break it. The people who build it are vapid shit-eating cannibals glorifying ignorance. I strongly feel that this is an insult to life itself.
I cosign every single word of this

Apparently P*ypal now asks for customer opinions on accounts sending invoices.
If you are paying an invoice to a nsfw artist, do NOT mention NSFW in any way, keep it blank even. you risk both your account and the artists.

I just want to make a side note here, marrying an amazing artist and hiring a great design and video production team pays dividends.

I think the reason these results are super embarrassing and bad for Trump is that any ‘mandate’ he claimed to have earned in 2024(utter bullshit as usual) has been reversed in LESS THAN A YEAR because of how dogshit he is.

AI Is the Bubble to Burst Them All
I talked to the scholars who literally wrote the book on tech bubbles—and applied their test.
There's been endless talk about an AI bubble, but less about exactly how, why, and how much it's a bubble. So I turned to the framework put forward by scholars Brent Goldfarb and David A. Kirsch, authors of "Bubbles and Crashes," for assessing tech bubbles.
Spoiler: On a scale of 1 to 8, AI is an 8

257. The Commission recommends that all Member States:
(a) Employ all means reasonably available to them to prevent the commission of genocide in the Gaza Strip;
(b) Cease the transfer of arms and other equipment or items, including jet fuel, to the State of Israel or third States where there is reason to suspect their use in military operations that have involved or could involve the commission of genocide;
(c) Ensure individuals and corporations in their territories and within their jurisdiction are not involved in the commission of genocide, aiding and assisting the commission of genocide or incitement to commit genocide and investigate and prosecute those who may be implicated in these crimes under international law;
(d) Facilitate the investigations and domestic proceedings and take action (including imposing sanctions) against the State of Israel and against individuals or corporations that are involved in or facilitating the commission of genocide or incitement to commit genocide;
(e) Cooperate with the investigation of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.
258. The Commission recommends that the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court:
(a) Examine, within its continuing investigation in the Situation in the State of Palestine, the crime of genocide for amendment to existing arrest warrants and addition to future application for arrest warrants;
(b) Examine the involvement of officials mentioned in this report for inclusion as those most responsible for international crimes committed in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Today, the UN officially designated Israel’s assault on Gaza as a genocide.
As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire.
End the genocide. Ceasefire now.

“Tech companies have every incentive to encourage this confusion. Anthropomorphism serves a dual purpose: it makes products seem more sophisticated than they are while simultaneously providing plausible deniability when things go wrong. Why correct misunderstandings that work in your favor?”

Let’s Be Clear: Artists & Creators Must Have Transparency NOW!
Every single day we don’t have transparency, the value of copyright loses ground and the harms inflicted to creative industries grow.
California has always been on the forefront of policies that can ...
Friends, we got a call to action 👇
We have the right to know when and how our creative works are used, especially when it comes to GenAi!
This is why we need regulation like California’s Ai Copyright Transparency Act #AB-412 !
If you agree, especially if in CA, please sign & share this petition!

Reminder the payment processors have been doing this for the past 2 years now. They've gone after japanese doujin sites and people were silent on that cause it was stuff that was icky to them.
Puritans don't care because to them ALL porn is icky.

Trump's AI Action Plan is a blueprint for dystopia
The president is trying to give Silicon Valley nearly everything it wants — at a price.
Trump's AI Action Plan is even worse than I thought it'd be. It's a tech industry wishlist with every box ticked. It signals the further coherence of Silicon Valley and the Trump-led federal government into a cooperative, automation-bent surveillance state. It's a blueprint for dystopia.

Forewarning: Dunno if hypno falls under brainwashing or is related enough for you.
Valvalis does nice hypno stuff, but dunno if they have a BlueSky acc. DumbSkull is another hypno artist off the top of my head.
RikkaCD917 on YT compiles various hypno and brainwashing clips from shows and games.

How big tech is force-feeding us AI
Plus, OpenAI's absurd listening tour, top AI scientists say AI is evolving beyond our control, Facebook is putting data centers in tents, and the AI bubble question — answered?
Big tech promotes the story that since ChatGPT burst onto the scene, AI has been so popular it's rushed to meet the demand. The reality is different. A study by design scholars shows tech co's have had to push AI on its users with a variety of intrusive tactics.

Agree with the thrust but I would adjust this thesis to read 'AI cultists dismantled large parts of the federal government because AI tools existed and they *did not ultimately really care one way or the other whether those tools actually worked as long as they provided cover for the firings*'

By the way, it should go without saying if you've seen any part of my works, but quite a lot of my works are problematic.
If you think that shit's unethical or even criminal, do feel free to put in a tip to the FBI. Five USD says you won't, but it'll help pay a bit of the fine for a false report.

First Steam and now Itch. It'll be pretty galling to see antis balk at the shit they created.
You wanted suppression of art? Congrats. Here's the end result and goal of censorship. Fuckers wanted the weird shit (that was neither unethical nor criminal) gone, and now NSFW of all stripes are gone too

so itchio has shadowbanned any games tagged with 'nsfw', 'adult', or 'erotic' so they don't show up in searches, and several devs have reported that their r18 games have been removed from the site with no warning

Pretty funny/egregious stuff here. I had heard nothing at all about an 'OpenAI listening tour' and neither had any AI Now staff—and yet they said we participated and thus contributed to a report that declares OpenAI is well positioned to usher in "a People-First Future in the Age of Intelligence"

New York Times guest essay “is it time to stop snubbing your right-wing family?”
Wild that right-wing families somehow aren’t to blame for their longstanding and systematic snubbing of queer and lefty children.
