Oh yeah, I never got around to it. I don’t think anyone did.

I’d like to consider myself one (moreso HB as a part of Cartoon Network on the whole), but I coul afford to pay Andy what he deserves for this.
Tonight’s TCMCFF marathon choice is a Hitchcock favorite. I actually watched this somewhat recently, but I’m in the mood for it anyway.
I’d like to think that there are seruous Hanna-Barbera historians who would be interested in offering you a respectable price.
Surely the concept of HB historians don’t begin and end with Jerry Beck and John K, right?
You could easily just have her watch the “core” episodes (the first two, “Angel”, the last two, maybe “Witch” so she’s introduced to Amy), but it’s a right of pass to sit through the cheesy early episodes and make your way to when it starts living up to its Potential
I wonder if the insane Michael Jackson fanbase that will blow up your mentions on Twitter if you even imply the slightest bit of grayness to his legacy made their way to here.
Starting week two of my TCMCFF marathon. I only have three movies planned this week, all from the same year. First is this underrated gem from Disney.
Not just Severance (I see it though), but even The Nevers felt like he was remixing Dollhouse before he got pulled out.
And they’re still trying to make residuals from streaming shows a thing, so she probably still makes way more from Buffy.
Something else I’ve noticed is that it was only really the Buffy and Justice League crew who stood against him.
I get that he was less hands-on with Angel (he went out of his way to fuck Charisma over) and I believe he was on his best behav for Marvel, but Firefly and Dollhouse had nothing but love
It helps that most of them never did anything nearly as big as Buffy. What, is Charisma going to push the Expendables movies instead?
Hannigan’s the one who could really get away with it bec of HIMYM, American Pie, Penn & Teller, but again she’s Team Joss.
Zhao is one of the most humorless directors of our time, she always seemed like a weird choice to be in charge of Buffy’s return. But I trust SMG, if her vision was good enough for her to return, I‘ll give it a shot.
This is the thing, his crimes are much less severe than other people who have actually come back into the industry and Buffy’s reputation hasn’t really been affected by his downfall, but he’s too much of an asshole to own up to his actions.
Even the other actors who he played favorites with would say something along the lines of ”that wasn’t my experience, but I stand by my former actors”. They couldn’t even say that.
I’m not surprised by Hannigan, she appears to be one of the biggest names still on his side. I don’t think it was coincidence that she and Denisof got special billing near the end of both show’s runs.
Yeah, on the one hand, this is the kind of franchise where you could reasonably have characters die off between its runs, but they deserve better, don’t they?
Meanwhile, how do you work Spike and Angel back in while explaining h they’ve clearly aged?
I haven’t, but I’m really curious now.
Whedon wasn’t asked to participate at all, right?
Yeah, I knew that much about Buffy. Wasn’t she supposed to be an insurance agent?
Obviously their losses are tragic, but I mean, if it means we’ll never have to see them hook up…
Also, I never read the leaked script for the reboot, did they explain what had to happen to Faith for her to be replaced?
Yeah, I’m surprised that Whedon decided to double down on Faith and Angel (and later the Scoobies) in the comics instead of doing her own book. Maybe like Ripper, he was hoping for the right moment for the show to happen.
I really need a Prisoner rewatch. I considered a couple of Seinfeld episodes for my list, but that would probably be my Curb choice as well. I remember being disappointed when that lady came back post-hiatus and the joke didn’t land twice.
It’s a good choice. I know it’s from the next episode, but I still think that Angel telling Buffy to back off and that LA is his juris is probably the show’s most important moment. This isn’t just BtVS LA, Angel is going to do things differently than his ex.
They’re good choices. I almost put “Final Grades” on my list, it was a last minute “I need to rewatch The Wire” cut.
I made lists for what are probably my 10 favorite TV episodes of all time. Because I’m me, I had to do separate lists for live-action and animation.
Even then, this was hard af. There’s a lot of really good eps I forgot or had to leave off.
Finishing off the first week of my TCMCFF marathon with a Malick classic.
Tonight for my TCMCFF marathon, one of the best noir of them all. Haven’t seen it in years!
Tonight for my TCMCFF marathon is the opening ceremony feature. Redford and Fonda are goals here.
I skipped yesterday for my TCMCFF marathon, but I’m back at it tonight. Gotta watch the original and not the musical version with Lucille Ball.
Starting my yearly TCMCFF at home tradition- where I watch some of the movies they’re screening while lamenting that I can’t be there.
Tonight I’m starting with Chaplin’s last (mostly) silent masterpiece.
