I also feel the type of paper makes a lot of difference, thick paper (cotton is great but expensive) hold that stuff better but that might be more important when doing a lot of very wet in wet or a lot of layers.

there should be alcoholic inks that dont reactivate under watercolor, though those are usually in fineliner. bc i see the red piece of clothing isnt filled to the lines and the upper linework where you colored is dissolving a bit.
