I sat down with Chris to chat about Ruffian Meat and the future!!!

Great line work. Get him on a book pronto.
After my deep dive last week (read that here: shorturl.at/5BoLn), my review of the returning Head Lopper. The TL:DR? It's so much fun to see the gang back together, eviscerating monsters. Enjoy!
This new volume is out starting this week. And before my review of #1 drops (tomorrow via @aiptcomics.com), enjoy a hearty convo w/ Andrew MacLean about fantasy comics, doing what feels natural/right, making violence mean something, and much, much more. Enjoy! (CC @imagecomics.com).
The FOC for this wonderful book is today. Get on it if you like subtle supernatural, flowers, complex female characters, and shovels.
This week’s theme? “Get ready for a deliverance, sucka!”
With 11 pieces published this week over at @aiptcomics.com, you may be sick of me talking comics. But I'm also back on @post-trash.bsky.social today, going long about this really great new Landowner LP. (RIYL: AI busting, human thought, and Butthole Surfers.) Woo!
If you wrote and/or abide by this, a pox on your entire house for now and forever.
A second Deep Dive of the week. I spoke with @andrewmaclean.bsky.social about all things 'Head Lopper,' including the essence of the story (it's not just beheadings), the break between volumes, the arc of Norgal and Agatha, and what comes next. Enjoy! (CC @imagecomics.com)
'Ruffian Meat' looked hella cool, so I went ahead and pestered @aaronlosty.bsky.social with some Qs. It's some really great-looking indie horror, and they need your support to scare and unsettle. Bye!
I often think about ‘CYN.’
If I’m ever this clueless, murder me with a shovel.
Following Tyler is the gift that keeps on giving.
For the evening crowd!!
Maybe I’m being too hard on this book? IDK, it’s third issue definitely feels like a big change, and I can feel more of that humanity finally shine through. Definitely more worth it from here on out.
As sad as I am to see this go (for now??!?!?!!), @mattbors.bsky.social and @tristanwright.bsky.social (and company) absolutely KILLED it. The end was such a big, fun blow-off that still felt important, and it extended the vital, relevant work of this kooky little title. Huzzah!
Well, @dougwagner13.bsky.social and co. keep delivering with Narco. A slow issue? Yes. One packed with great character work, emotional texture and depth, and a dope opossum? You betcha!
Your boy's latest deep dive is a special one from @imagecomics.com. Erin and Darcy were a treat to talk to, and 'The Cutting Garden' is a genuinely affective, slow-burning meditation on loneliness, memory, imperfect relationships, and so much more. Enjoy!
"Live off the rain and the dirt" now joins "Fix your hearts or die" as declarations for the 21st century.
The theme of this week's edition is, "Blood, misery, and backsides." Enjoy!
Wowzers, I love this. My brain kept thinking, “That’s how William Gibson writes.”
I met a Jonas Brother.*
* = I cohosted a podcast that featured a JoBro.
I genuinely get excited when you post Crouton. (Also happy birthday to your seemingly amazing human.)
Matthews and Thomas are a winning team. Like, peanut butter and jelly if it could make you acutely aware of your humanity.
It's giving real S1 of Legion (but horrifying and awful and no likely dance numbers), and I'm HERE for it.
Bloody perfect.
I picked a hell of a time to finally drink enough water.
