I haven't seen this at other NIH websites. I haven't checked them all (obviously), but nothing at NIMH, NIDA, NIAAA, NINDS, and NHLBI.

There's a banner at the top of the NIDDK website that reads, "Due to current HHS and NIH restructuring, the information provided on niddk.nih.gov is not being updated and may not be available in the future. Please refer to nih.gov."
Does anybody know what's happening at NIDDK?
One more day to submit an abstract and join us in Oxford this summer. #SSIB @ssibsociety.bsky.social #SSIB2025
Perfect. We might plan a field trip this spring/summer.
Science/academia friends: we’re looking for examples of recent teaching lab renovations/construction. Any examples out there?
NIC met on 2/13 and 2/14 and it felt normal, which creeped me out a bit.
And, last (so far), it turned into a meme.
Bad day for the country, no question, but good for a laugh thanks to some great professors and students on Reddit.
The professor teaching the section with the smoochers didn’t say anything directly, but she has in-class quizzes regularly, and her first question today asked if it’s OK for people to make out in class 😆🤣😆
This, of course, made it to Reddit.
One of the professors (not the one with the kissing in class) poked some fun at it in his section, and the students delivered, posting videos and pictures on Reddit.
I saw the post and shared it with the profs who are teaching 201 this semester. We had some laughs.
Horrible day for the country. The best I can do is try to make you smile with some Reddit posts about one of our classes.
It all started with a kiss (maybe many kisses)
1. Today the NIH director issued a new directive slashing overhead rates to 15%.
I want to provide some context on what that means and why it matters.

The NIH overhead cut doesn't just hurt universities.
It's deadly to the US economy.
The US is a world leader in tech due to the ecosystem that NIH and NSF propel. It drives innovation for tech transfer, creates a highly-skilled sci/tech workforce, and fosters academic/industry crossfertilization.
Had such a good time at my first #WCBR2025. Great science and some old friends I don’t see often. Looking forward to getting back next year, hopefully with NIH friends this time.

I’m honored and excited to step into the role of editor-in-chief of Physiology & Behavior. www.sciencedirect.com/journal/phys...
Always good to have an excuse to visit colleagues. It’s not often that five former #SSIB presidents are in the same room, at least outside of an SSIB meeting.
An image showing that Barack Obama follows me on Twitter
It might be silly, but being followed by Obama makes it hard for me to completely leave Twitter, even if I’m one of more than half a million accounts his account follows.
I made a starter pack for the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior #SSIB for all interested in being a #SSIBling.
Please let me know if you would like to join the starter pack!
