The Supreme Court ruled that nobody is a U.S. citizen

Chief Justice Roberts stated “No person can be in this country. We all have to leave. Now.” The judges packed up their robes and are getting on a boat

I bought a bunch of clearance wines so I could peel the discount stickers off and give them out as gifts throughout the year.

I cracked one for myself as a cheeky treat.

"Where the room isnt
Theres room for you"

This line is why this is my favorite DDJ. Sure the others are more "accurate" but the amount of warmth and love spilling from this rendition always knocks my socks off.

A psa comic
large text at the top says "every year over 100,000 Americans fall victim to an elaborate trap that they built inside their own home."

in the center there is an illustration of a man falling through a floorboard on his stairs, saying "ahh! oh no! I've fallen into my own fake step! I'm tired of living in this house of illusions and lies!"

Text at the bottom says "don't be another statistic. Mark your traps and keep a record of them."

AI, Gods, and Selves: Incredibly Effective Illusions
AI, Gods, and Selves: Incredibly Effective Illusions YouTube video by Carefree Wandering

My homie Hans is spitting bars.

Worried about AI? Let a disheveled german man explain how AI has alot in common with literal Idolatry; and how The Singularity(tm) is a fundamental misunderstanding of systems theory.

Yeah, people think apocalypse can only be literal mass extinction events. But we see in history that most apocalypses were more like massive shakeups in civilizational structure that were later labeled apocalyptic.

My theory is that the protastant preoccupation with the apocalypse is going to inadvertently cause an apocalypse: of the unipolar WASP-led global order.

The karma is too tasty to ignore.

But yeah apocalypse pondering is unhealthy. The Wheel turns regardless if you're consciously cranking it.

Practicing anarchism(s) in your everyday life is more important than theorizing about it, in my view, and part of my frustration with adherence to canon is that it obscures the many ways people are already living the principles of anarchism.

Wednesday is pancake breakfast.

Where a random blogger is sacrificed, and then lukewarm eggs and flapjacks.

Sometimes bluesky feels like showing up to a public bookclub.

You go in, and find no one.

A lights on in the basement, you go down.

There are a thousand hooded figures around a pentagram. They are chanting: "Zeitgeist, Zeitgeist"

You suggest talking about a book.

One of them hisses at you.

Not long after, a Newsweek poll found that fully 54% of those questioned believed the burning of the Minneapolis Police Precinct was justified after George Floyd’s killing.

At that time, Joe Biden was polling around 46% and Donald Trump at 38%.

Never let them tell you resistance can't be popular.

I feel like people have paid money and flown to Japan on exactly this premise.

This post brought to you by my frustration with academics defining anarchist theory entirely based on a handful of books from the 1800s. Anarchism is a living thing! Nothing is more antithetical to anarchism than a defined canon

Kids these days and their 2 minute attention spans.

I, an enlightened being, have the divine privilege of a *30* minute attention span. 😎

The savvy take here is “civilized people don’t need it, but the Morlocks do” and maybe that’s accurate, but it’s also how you get more Morlocks.

The constitution aint what it used to be, but I can back this.

This is why I advocate for a spiritual left; as a form of social judo.

The materialist tech-right cant take spirituality seriously without collapsing their worldview. The evangelicals cant attack it without attacking themselves.

Good suggestion. I did forget to add the audio struggle is mostly self inflicted since I am allergic to using Amazon anything. In a different world Audible sounds like a really good deal.

I'm in the position where physical books are piling up on my desk and I cannot read them fast enough.

But I have so much time everyday where I can work with headphones on that I am scraping the barrel to find more audiobooks.

Yeah. Maybe it’s not even wrong for the fights to happen. But if the only weapon you’re handed is a post and a blocklist, eventually every fight looks like a moderation failure and every boundary like an attack.

As far as personal codes go the Roadhouse code is pretty dope:

1. Never underestimate an opponent.

2. Take it outside.

3. Be nice. :)

Watched the trailer for the Gyllenhaal remake and felt no desire to try it out. Jake G is the least convincing "heart of gold" guy I can imagine.

I think he's at his best portraying the wierdo slimeballs I imagine are closer to his irl personality.

My opinion of Gen X lowers ever further. If you listened to my dad you'd think there was nothing deeper than a porn-plot.

IDK how you watch action movies with a solid moral plot and only take away the boobies and explosions. Sure those are fun, but they don't stick around after the movie.

Swayze's character treats the dives he's in like ecosystems rather than just busting in and breaking heads until order is restored.

He relies on his connections and openly shows brotherly love to his comrades.

He doesn't let his violent non-violence philosophy get in the way of real change.

Watched Roadhouse for the first time this weekend. Was fully expecting it to only be a titties & fighting movie.

It was that, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually about maintaining a positive, stoic masculinity in a world full of chuds.
