Hard by North Brook and CSX's Fitchburg Secondary Line runs the Lester G. Ross Dam, a DCR flood control dam in Berlin, MA. This two-mile mostly flat loop trail over and around the dam, built in 1974, begins and ends on West Street (Route 62).
