What a great catch! I have a (perhaps unworthy) sense that I can guess at the gender of the writer😁.

Oooh, this looks like an incredible history.
Interesting photo choice here. 😬 Just before this was taken, MPD pushed to the ground a woman bringing pizza for those protesting the killing of Winston Smith the day prior.
The city settled a lawsuit for hundreds of thousands of dollars after she sued stating she suffered brain injuries.
AGREED!!
It is such a necessary reckoning! I am feeling a lot of responsibility toward the question after co-administering a pretty large acute operation including many newly involved people, so I would love to think through it with you some!
Ooh I do appreciate the idea that concision could be particularly valuable with these folks. ♥️
Thank you so much for all three of these, @tutusntinyhats.bsky.social !!
🤣. Your exercises are so good; I can see them being both really valuable and easy to implement im this group!!
This is a couple years old now, but this link shares a few of my favorite readings/resources (some books, some zines, articles, etc.) for people who are either (1) new to organizing, or (2) like you describe, already doing it but looking to expand understanding or capacity: guante.info/activismzine
Thank you! This is beautiful!!
Looks great!
I think you could also call this "class solidarity."
Media, universities, corporations see fascism or antifascism as secondary to protecting the power and reputation of their own industries/sectors/classes.
OOOOH, this is on my personal list as well, and I love leading a book club that helps me actually read the books I want to❤️😅!!
The two we've discussed as options are Read This When Things Fall Apart and Mutual Aid, so also curious if people have experience reading those in widely-varying-politicization-levels groups!
Oooh, thank you!!
I worry about being too much of a taker on this website, but you all have so much to offer!! Anyway, here is my Today Question:
What would you read for a book group if members had widely varying levels of politicization/movement familiarity but had recently done intense crisis organizing together? Something that can help us reflect&ground us in commitments to continuing work even as the immediate crisis abates (sort of).
impossible to overstate how poisonous this shit is. dudes on the street smiling and waving at your toddler are an indicator of a happy and functional community
This is so monumentally fucked up on every level I feel sick to my stomach.

the internet can be a cold & horrifying place, but it is also a place where you can shout "I am sad and having a hard time" into the void and sometimes, beautiful strangers near & far will reach out across the void and surround you with a #HappyMail hug that whispers, " #YouAreNotAlone" 😭🥺

thats what this sounds like. wtf
I am once again saying that letting fascists back into society when they pretend to be repentant like this will lead to the rise of fascism again. They are upset because Trump has made them look like the fascists they are. This does not mean they are on the side of morality and human rights suddenly

I got to talk with comedian and writer Amy Hoggart about where the left goes from here and how Indigenous issues don’t always map onto party politics. Check it out! substack.com/@amyhoggart/...
You're so into injustice that purity has become a negative value to you? Get your humanity back. I'm a fan of at least attempting to get there, not surrendering.
