Her work is simple but radical: amplify women’s voices, strengthen community-led change and make mental health central to what empowerment and leadership actually look like.

As a leading voice in youth-led advocacy, she works with Taala Foundation, a pan-African organization dedicated to emotional wellbeing and accessible mental health support.

Shivan is the founder of Afrinalia; a survivor-led organization dismantling systemic oppression & modern-day slavery in East Africa. Also an artivist whose song Africa Nalia earned a nomination at AFRIMA Awards 2021. Her impact is undeniable.
