Health NZ changes advice on Covid-19 vaccinations People between the ages of 30 and 64 no longer needed regular boosters, it said.

"Heath NZ...saying most healthy people aged 30-64 no longer need regular boosters.

But there were exceptions and anyone who wanted or needed a booster could still have a free one every six months."

A terribly misinformed recommendation, but you are still eligible.

Pharmac sets the legally binding schedule for immunisations, which is still 6 monthly and they will not be making a change without consultation.

There have been news articles clarifying this as well.

The confusion comes from Te Whatu Ora's new recommendations, but that's all they are.

Any meaning is entirely in the user's head, even when it very much feels like it's not.

This is why these tools are dangerous, imo. Mostly being benign does not mean there isn't danger, much like anything else requiring regulation.

The mystique really vanished as soon as I understood it is a very very sophisticated "next best word" prediction tool based on complex statistics.

It will always produce errors and be inconsistent with answers because it's not able to output meaning, just language.

They can't even divorce themselves from the Vatican because the US isn't a Catholic country, in fact, historically very anti-Catholic.

They have no Catholic political power whatsoever and even the bishops who'd like to break from the Catholic church won't b/c...well they'd lose all their influence

Last night, this friend asked me to drive and escort her home, and my hubby and I helped her check her closets for this man. We weren't really worried, but THIS GUY I MEAN COME OOOON. This is the level we are at

This is why Craig Little, useless old git mayor of Wairoa, needs to go. His bullshit comments about the recent state of emergency put in place for coastal HB EXCEPT FOR Wairoa, pisses on people like these.

I think personally I will still have a job, but I suspect I will have to "fight" for it with my teammates and others, which will be hell.

Frustratingly, I wouldn't mind redundancy IF my husband was employed right now. I have all these personal projects I want to do.

Very soon I will be finding out the future of my job (or if I will even have one). I keep going between "gawd, I'm going to be jobless, aren't I?" and "Naaah I'm too valuable."

Just got given a presentation, and in the vaguest terms possible, today I'm feeling the latter of the 2 feelings. ๐Ÿ˜…

Sorry I meant the discount on adult fares that you get if you use a snapper card for that

19 hours ago 1 0 1 0

It's not Motu Move, but I think it's the same concept, contactless at the snapper terminal. It's a pre-national ticketing service thing

19 hours ago 1 0 0 0

*so yes it does come with the snapper discount!

19 hours ago 0 0 2 0

Not anymore, you use the paywave on the snapper terminal as if it's a snapper card. It was just implemented on Sunday, and it's the same fare as using a snapper card (plus a surcharge I think).

Same ๐Ÿ˜” I miss how on top of the world I felt then

19 hours ago 3 0 0 0

Hot tip for anyone reading this, you can now pay for bus & train fares in Welly with paywave on cards or on your phone if you have that option and you don't want to buy a snapper card for one trip. Not sure how it would work for multiple people

Google music suggested I ask Gemini these questions after giving me my quarterly music recap.

Dear reader, the recap was playing "Mama" by MCR.

Not dunking on Zack or this post, Iโ€™m just always struck by how easily American journalists will admit that the media shapes public polling and political outcomes when theyโ€™re not talking about America.
