I also redesigned the workspace. Switched to vertical mouse which helped but it was a painful process to learn to not move the mouse from the wrist. Also I needed to relearn to type while my hands float above the keyboard, It took weeks. I also went from typing ~80 words per minute to 30.

I had periods of hand pain where It hurt so much that I was unable to even use keyboard or mouse and literally couldn't open a shampoo to shower. I now have a routine of things I do in the morning everyday just to prevent it from ever happening again and I overreact on every minor discomfort.

Exciting news! Zed now has native Git support starting from v0.177. Designed for speed, Git-native functionality, and a keyboard-first workflow.

cleanshotX(for screenshots and recording) combined with clop(for optimization) is IMO perfect. Although not sure how complex their screenrecording is, I've used it only for basic stuff(bug repro etc)

"smart dishwasher" why the fuck would I want a smart dishwasher I like my appliances stupid and meek thank you very much

I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.

In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.

Yeah it takes a little bit of mind bending, but just because we are used to one big state, top-down approach for years now.

RQ + Zustand is the default way to go. But if your state is not big and can be composed you can take a look at jotai.org . Same maintainer as Zustand.

+1

I love all the tanstack products and use it in projects, but Docs feel like Autogenerated API reference to me.

I used cursor for couple of months. Then Copilot released claude integration so I thought it will cover at least 70% of what Cursor does so I’ve tried it for 2 weeks and it’s not even close. Cursor is 100 times better.

Yeah, to me it's helpful because I have 256gb SSD on my Mac and it's always near limit so warnings + cleanups are useful. For the next upgrade I'll go with 512gb and then I prolly won't be a user of it.

X is old one, new one doesn't have X. When they released the version my old version said my subs expired, so I bought it again and then when I entered pricing after that it said I have 2 subs. One ending in 5 months and one new. Support didn't reply to any of my mails. I wish there was alternative

Latest update to cleanMyMac made it 10x worse. Unnecessary amount of gradients everywhere, everything is hidden behind 10 clicks, irritating sounds and constant problems with access and permissions.

Funny thing - On a Code Review 7 years ago when I got my first professional job my Team Lead pointed out similar things like in this example. Still remember the comments today.

I screenshot everything all the time, easy 30+ times a day. I almost don't send links anymore, I send screenshots. Mac native screenshots are Great but cleanshotX is GOAT
