Ug, just confirmed that we have to petition a change to the traffic commission- who met yesterday (as you know) and won’t meet again for a month! Bleagh. My church is going to have to have someone stand on 13th for a month telling people they can’t park there.

Thank you! Until Sunday I thought I might address the council about the parking sign! Then when that happened I knew I needed to talk about it.

This is a tangent, but can you tell me who decides if a sign says “no parking Mon-Fri 7am-6pm” or “no parking anytime”? One that affects me was recently changed from the former to the latter.

Things have gotten quieter in Minnesota. But here in OKC it has been a steady stream of quiet, quick abductions of men on their way to work for over a year now. If anything they are getting bolder by pulling over sedans in rich neighborhoods rather than just work vans on the side of the freeway.

This morning in Mesta Park, OKC. 4 ICE agents pulled a man over on my street. They stopped him and took him away in less than 5 minutes. 2 hours later his cousin showed up. I told her I’m so sorry and gave her a hug. She cried in my arms for a long time. They just keep taking our neighbors y’all.

Noting the word “secular” here. I swear UU churches are such a balm for this. The word “church” scares people away. But most are beautiful communities of lefties, liberals, activists, humanists, queer people, Buddhists, and disaffected Christians.
