And after canon happens. So, plus points for angst ❤️ I can't even describe the reason I love it so much {other than combining tropes I love with a ship I adore} it's just so PERFECT. After all, television DID come from radio. He's following in his father's footsteps... Trying to make him proud... It's very in character, in my opinion. There's also the wide amount of possibilities you can do with a noncanon incestuous relationship like this- biological incest, adoptive incest, or even pseudocest. As well as the whole human vs pre-fallout vs post-canon. So many different ways to spin it!!! So many opportunities for fluff or angst or whatever! The mutual obsession canon radiostatic shares also translates very well to codependency, and therefore an incest take on the relationship. Of course Vincent is going to be idolizing the man he looked up to since birth. Of course Alastor is going to be possessive of his own blood. Of course they're going to drive each other crazy with secrecy and miscommunication. I love them deerly.
