I didn't know if it's true that one uses different parts of one's brain, but I do know reading what I wrote aloud catches a whole bunch of simple grammar and copy-edit errors, and it's a practice I recommend for every writer.

I remember I had that the first time I watched it and didn't like the film. However, when I watched it again later, I was able to love it for what it actually was and did.
Yeah, this was at the height of people thinking all his 'twists' had to be HUGE deals and trying to figure them out ahead of time. 'The Village' is definitely one of those "My Expectations didn't match the reality, therefor it's bad".
I agree that The Village is overhated lol. I sorta blame the marketing campaign, which lead people to think it was one thing "Period Piece Monster Movie" vs the end product "Love Story drama". It's actually one of my favorite films by M. Night.

Idk if I could pick a top favorite because I like a lot of series, each for different reasons. Other than AoT and Berserk, I'd recommend anything I had in the graphic.
I originally put AoT in 'Overrated' but moved it to 'Overhated' because:
1. I have stronger feelings about Berserk
2. I feel like some of the hate it gets is blown out of proportion at times. Still doesn't make it good, IMO.
