Anyway. The Goldeneyes won. And they have a very fun victory celebration. Please enjoy.

If you’re not watching the PWHL, I truly don’t know what you’re waiting for. Tonight’s Goldeneyes-Victoire game was bananas.

This is such an excellent, Vancouver-specific burn.
McDavid is on cheat mode again.
Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim announces a $400 million fund for upgrading five community centres if re-elected.
Details are to come on which centres those would be.
I’ve been told the Britannia Centre/Canucks practice facility negotiations are not part of it.

Pleased to announce Kevin Lankinen is the Vancouver chapter of the PHWA’s nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, which recognizes sportsmanship, perseverance and dedication to hockey

It’s Trans Day of Visibility! Re-upping this story where Vancouver Rise star Quinn talks about what’s changed since they came out publicly more than five years ago.
A lot has changed since #CANWNT and @nsl.ca star Quinn publicly came out as nonbinary more than five years ago - for better and for worse.

If you want to have a discussion with me about my work, I’m happy to talk offline. I don’t think this is the place for that discussion. My email is gks@cp.org. Have a great night!
I simply posted what security was told at their briefing last night. I know folks have had their bags taken away at previous games. I do not know whether anyone brought bags last night and, if they did, whether they were escorted out or banned.
Proof of what? Of someone wearing a bag being escorted out?
Sounds like folks who show up at tonight’s #Canucks game with a paper bag for headwear will be escorted out and could be banned.
Demolition has begun for the rebuilding Vancouver Canucks.

A significant number of Vancouver Whitecaps players could be playing in the FIFA World Cup this summer. Some of them are trying not to think about it.

"He's such a good leader, such a good human being," Brock Boeser said of the veteran defenceman.

I have been saying this all freaking season.
This isn't just a standard 'winning team visits the WH in a planned visit' -- it's the state of the damn union, as the NHL resumes.
The problem isn't that the president called the team (he should have!) it's that the gold-medal winning women's team was the punch line, instead of being celebrated.
Shiny new seats are in at B.C. Place ahead of the Whitecaps new season …. And some big tournament this summer.
