still a fav... the beginning until the end of the first arc is pure operatic violent glory. i feel this way about this one mega popular well drawn edgelord manga. its fine for things to never reach the same heights when those heights are really out there

reading more Shamo... discouraging to read through a work that is still good or fine but clearly peaked already. also, frontloading your edgy series with awful stuff from page 1 will obviously create problems for a long series because its impossible to escalate/shock/etc etc
