He groans, rubbing his face.
“I’m just as stuck as you guys are.”
His eyebrows shot up.
“What…?? You couldn’t wait until ya died to see…??”

“Doesn’t surprise me.”
He sighed, rubbing his forehead.
“I don’t think I ever asked - what are ya doing down here, anyway? Good kid like you shouldn’t be down here. Especially still human!”
“Nah, she’s all her mother. Confident, kindhearted, and determined.”
He beamed.
“You’ll be best friends, I’m sure of it.”
“You haven’t? Oh, man - she’s the best little lady down here!”
He could gush about his daughter all day, despite what anyone else has to say.
He has his skepticisms, but he believes in her.
“Charlie…? What happened?? Is everything alright?”
He always chooses to disassociate at the worst times.
More holes in walls would pop up again tomorrow, he’s certain.
“That’s most of Hell for ya.”
He chuckled.
“I’m sure Charlie would love to have another buddy around.”
“Do any…I dunno…radio stuff….?”
He felt his face flush bright pink. Fuck. What a stupid question.
He nodded.
“Yeah, yeah! Of course you can, kiddo. As long as Alastor’s alright with it.”
He was…surprised that the other would let him decide.
“Wait, he said you *could?”
“It’s been a long time, alright?”
He punched his shoulder, laughing. Just that little bit helped relax him.
“Have a good day, love?”
“Hey, some of us need a bit more help relaxing than others.”
He took the blunt, taking in a deep inhale. He coughed a bit, his chest aching.
“Ah, fuck. I haven’t had any in so long.”
“I try not to, but…I cave to Beelzebub’s pressure, once in awhile. Feels good to relax.”
He could use a smoke. They both could, probably.
