So after finishing Requiem, I picked up Promise Mascot Agency.
A game, I have having a puzzle of a time trying to fully explain: you manage mascots, drive a cool truck, are a ex-yakuza (with familiar voice), pay off a huge debt, resuscitate a town... All with the good humor of a fun drunken night.
We're so pleased with how they came out!

Just wrapped up Promise Mascot Agency. My gods, this game is BRILLIANT. Had such a good time with it. :D
Matriarch Shimazu, Nui and Yui from Promise Mascot Agency, in a minimalist style. Matriarch Shimazu is wearing a black kimono with an orange dragon pattern. Her hair is black with white stripes, and she is standing, wondering whether to have Nui and Yui attack you. Nui and Yui are standing on either side of her. They are wearing the same orange school uniforms, with Nui pulling a knife from a sheath as she is standing menacingly on her two prosthetic legs, while Yui is pretending to be innocent.
Earlier this year I played Promise Mascot Agency, and it is such a perfect PS2 style open world game.
If you like the early Yakuza games, you will definitely like it (the main character is even voiced by the same person who voices Kazuma Kiryu) ☺️.

Disco Elysium and Paradise Killer are two VASTLY different games in art & vibes, and yet they're both detective games with themes of surviving under fascism, inside the colonial, capitalist machine, watching ppl be chewed up and spit out by it, and SOMEHOW they are also both extremely fucking funny

Been playing lots of Promise Mascot Agency, where a yakuza in dire straights takes on running a mascot agency and revitalising a dead town with a severed pinky thumb as his psychotic mascot. Driving game + exploration +business sim and card minigame.
