lol, it didn’t really bother me that much. BLU jacket over my flannel shirt was fine. Wool Walz cap kept my head warm. No gloves, bar mitts were enough.

Mmhmm. I ended up using the herms coil as an immersion chiller. Buying a hop spider.

Then I have a nice sanitized immersion chiller

So I have the Herms coil in the kettle now and I turned the burner back on to get everything re-sanitized and I’ve got the plate chiller cleaned out and in a bucket of starsan. I will whirlpool to hopefully get a nice settled cone of hops and then I will try the plate chiller again. If it clogs…..

Boil is done and I’m trying to chill it but my damn plate chiller seems to be clogged with hop shit so I don’t know how well this is going right now
