Sadly, our baby had tumors throughout her body, and we had to make the decision to let her go. She hid how sick she was until she couldn't any more.
At least we caught it before she was in pain.

My promotion at work came through last week, much to my delight. The paybump wasn't that great, but it's more than I'm making now.
I start on 3/22, by which time hopefully I know exactly what the job will entail.
We just finished 3+ years of a campaign, and bid farewell to beloved characters. The final battle went well, and I think I managed a pretty good send off for them. I am both a little sad that it's over and surfing on the high of a successful ending.

I would rather stay with Radiology. I love my team, and I know the different modalities pretty well. If both offer, I'll take that, even if its slightly lower pay, in part because the other involves going to the office 3-4x/month and Radiology is work from home. More to come (hopefully) soon!
Two promotions applied for, one in my dept, one in another. Fingers crossed for an offer soon. Patience is not one of my finest virtues.
Both would be a step up from the position I've got now, with a possibly significant pay bump.
It's been a pretty good week for me. I had an interview for a promotion in another dept, plus it sounds like there's one being posted in our dept soon, that I have been told was created for me. Either way, I win. (I'll probably stick with Radiology, because I love my coworkers and managers.

We're stuck in for a snow day, so I am doing my favorite icky weather activity--baking! Today is a day for cinnamon rolls! Here are the risen rolls waiting for the oven to heat up so they can bake. Next to it, out of frame is a nice big batch of cream cheese icing.
Yesterday, my boss asked me if I could work today. We're expecting a higher call volume with people canceling due to snow, but apparently, I'll be the liaison for the big boss. Even better, the big boss specifically asked for me.
So yay, OT and a chance to impress the head of radiology!

The Alaskan Cruise (145 days away) is officially paid off and specialty dinners have been booked! This was my dopamine hit for the morning.
Everyone has their passports and hotels are booked. Now I just need May to arrive!
